****** Modification to route ******
At Mile 46.7 we will make a Left on Sam Potts Hwy / NC 214 and then a Right on Old Lake Road to return to fire station start location.

Meet at the Buckhead Fire Department in Bolton, NC. This ride offers 53 mile option with a store stop at mile 21 (Please note that the cue sheet is for the 56 mile route and has the start location as New Hope Baptist Church. We are modifying the route because of a road closure and still plan to meet at the Buckhead Fire Dept location).

There will usually be three pace groups.  The “Fast” or A Group riding at an average pace of 18+mph, the “Strong” or B Group riding at an average pace of 16-17mph, and the “Moderate” or C Group riding at an average pace of 14-15mph.  (When the ride allows there will be a “Leisurely” or D Group riding at a sub 14mph average pace over a shorter distance with a no drop policy.  This will be noted in the ride announcement header.)

You are responsible for printing your own copy of the map for this ride. Do not expect the ride leader to provide any at the start of the ride. If you do not have facilities to accomplish this then email a request to the ride leader to possibly make one for you.
