Our adaptive bike camp, iCan Bike, will take place July 22-26th at The First Baptist Church Activity Center located at 1939 Independence Blvd. The Camp is hosted by Coastal BUDS but led by the larger group, iCan Shine. Their trained instructors will be guiding individuals with disabilities to ride a two wheel bike through adaptive training techniques. Volunteers will be needed to spot the bike riders.

We have 30 spots available for riders and iCan Shine requests two volunteers per rider. So we have a need for 60 volunteers minimum. Each day of camp is broken up into five 75 minute sessions, so riders will attend one session each day. Due to the physical nature of this camp, we plan to have volunteers serve one session per day and ask that they commit to the same 75 minute session each day as our riders learn best in a consistent environment. The only other requirements are for volunteers to be at least 15 years old and able to attend a short orientation the afternoon prior to camp (July 21st).
