Wrightsville Beach Bike Rodeo
Join us in Wrightsville Beach Park for an afternoon of family fun at the first annual Wrightsville Beach Bike Rodeo. Children are invited to participate in a bike safety obstacle course where they will practice balancing, stopping, and turning as well as following traffic rules. The course is lead by Tammy Swanson, safety instructor for Cape Fear Cyclists and the Terry Benjey Foundation. Please bring your bicycle and helmet. We'll tune your bike and check your helmet for proper fit. No bike or helmet? No worries - we'll have one for you to use.
The family will also enjoy a field full of trucks and other large equipment used by law enforcement, public safety, and public works departments from the Town of Wrightsville Beach and New Hanover County. This touch-a-truck experience is a blast for children of all ages!
Enjoy complimentary hotdogs, burgers, and drinks provided by Jimmy's Bike Drive.
To ensure sufficient supplies for all participants, please register all family members who will be attending. Pre-registration required.
