COURSE INFO: This year, we are offering three routes. A 22-Miler, a metric half century and a metric century. These courses are open to traffic.

RED LOOP  22-Miler
TdB 22 Miler Red 2021
This is a stand-alone loop that is great for leisure riders or first-timers. This course will be marked with red tape on the pavement and generic directional signs at the intersections.

BLUE LOOP: 34 Mile Loop 1 [Metric Half Century]
TdB Loop 1 Blue 2021

This is considered loop one of the metric rides. Riders must complete this loop before moving to the Green loop. There are two aid stations for this loop. The first is in Watha at mile 10. The second station is sponsored by EmergeOrtho and is located at intersection of Shiloh and Penderlea Hwy at mile 22. This course will be marked with blue tape on the pavement and generic directional signs at the intersections.

GREEN LOOP: 33 Mile Loop 2 [Metric Century]
TdB Loop 2 Green 2021

This is loop two of the metric ride. Riders will complete this loop after the blue loop. There are two aid stations for this loop. The first is at the intersection of Whitestocking and Stag Park Road. The second is at the entrance to Camp Kirkwood. This course will be marked with green tape on the pavement and generic directional signs at the intersections.

COURSE MAPS:  Maps are available digitally online through RIDEWITHGPS.COM or you may pick up a pre-printed map and cue sheet at registration on June 17. Our courses are essentially the same as in years past. Here are some notes:

CAUTION on Lamb Road on the Blue Route. This road is marked as ROUGH ROAD and there is a patch of gravel about 200 yards after you turn onto it. You MUST SLOW DOWN for this section.

CAUTION on Murraytown Road on the Green Route. As in years past, this is 4+ miles of rough pavement and potholes. Please call out any obstacles to the riders behind you!

Aid Station No. 1 is located at the Watha Volunteer Fire Department Station on Who Done It Road at mile 10. This aid station serves the 22-Miler (Red) and 34-Mile Loop 1 (Blue). Please be aware of two-way traffic in and out of this aid station.

Aid Station No. 3 is now located at Sand Hill AME church on Whitestocking Road. Our volunteers will be in the front parking area.

Aid Station No. 4 is located at the entrance to Camp Kirkwood. This aid station will close at approximately 3:00pm.

BIKE SUPPORT: Basic pre-ride bike tech support will be provided on the morning of the event by Special Pedals. Tune-ups and major repairs will not be offered.

Support & Gear [SAG Wagons] will be on course to provide technical/mechanical assistance. These vehicles will be marked and driving the course all day.   If you need help, pull well over onto the shoulder to safety. Generally, the signal for "I need assistance” is thumbs down. Thumbs up is the universal sign for "all's well".

If you are in need of immediate medical assistance, call 911.

AID STATIONS: There are four aid stations set up on course. Plus, there will be an aid station at Burgaw Middle School.  Each station will provide water, Gatorade, gels and snacks. Water & Gatorade will be served out of large gallon coolers. Riders are encouraged to bring their own reusable bottles for nutrition/hydration.

LUNCH: Lunch is provided for registered riders. Your bib is your lunch ticket. You will need to present the tear-off lunch ticket on your bib to the food vendors at Burgaw Middle School on Saturday to receive your post-ride meal.

COVID-19 GUIDELINES

We know that any scenario in which many people gather together poses a risk for COVID-19 transmission. In order to keep you safe and to keep the rides on the calendars, we will stay in compliance with government orders. Here are our guidelines for this event:

Please do not attend this event if you are sick (including cough, sore throat, fever, loss of taste or smell) or have exhibited any such symptoms within the past 2 weeks.  Do not attend if you have reason to believe you have been exposed to COVID-19, or if you have had a positive COVID-19 test and have not yet been medically cleared.

Unvaccinated riders are asked to maintain at least 6 feet distance from all other riders at the ride start and when riding with those not in their household. Unvaccinated participants must also wear a mask inside any building on the school grounds. Be particularly vigilant at stop signs, aid stations and traffic lights, where riders tend to bunch up in groups.
