Your challenge - should you choose to accept it - will be to accumulate as many miles as you can through June 12 at midnight to midnight on June 19, 2021. Here are the basics:
HERE ARE DETAILS ABOUT THIS YEAR'S VIRTUAL CHALLENGE: REGISTRATION is available through RunSignUp HERE!. This event is open any rider anywhere! Once you register, invite your friends to join your team! RIDE WEEK: When we kick off the Tour de Blueberry Challenge, you will start riding your bike! Accumulate your mileage each day, log in to the RunSignUp platform and submit your miles! There will be prizes and recognition for cyclists who finish the most miles in different categories! COST: Registration is $40. Riders receive the choice of a tank or tee, bike lights and a medal! Profits from your registration fee go back into the community through the Terry Benjey Foundation grants and donations toward community causes. PACKET PICK-UP is available before the ride day [location to be determined]. You will be able to pick up your ride swag on the Thursday or Friday before the event. You may also have it mailed to you for an add-on fee.
Remember, the proceeds from every TDB go to grants for local non-profits. For example, proceeds from our 2018 Tour went to the NC Blueberry Festival Scholarship Fund, Burgaw Middle School, Pender County Parks & Recreation Department , the Terry Benjey Bicycling Foundation and Switchin' Gears , a local 501c3 organization that salvages and reconditions bicycle for residents in one of Wilmington's poorest sections.
